Cascading down the Guyana highlands, the Angel Falls is one of the spectacular places of visit in South America. Placed inside the periphery of the Canaima National Park off the Canaima airstrip it happens to be one of the most popular tourists spots frequented by both locals and foreigners. Connected through a series of convenient air flights to Canaima one can easily land at the Angel Falls Christened after Jimmy Angel who discovered this magnificent natural structure, this ecological site of South America has myriad things to offer for the tourist.

| Originating from a plateau namely the Auyan Tepuy summit, Angel Falls plunges from a height of 2937 feet much higher than the Niagara Falls in Canada thus making it the highest waterfalls in the world. Set amidst the undulating lush green landscapes the place has a typical sylvan charm about it and is literally a paradise in the heart of the Earth. Apart from the grand overview for the cliffs and the pristine beauty of the brooks the pervading mist created due to the descent of the grand waterfalls is indeed a sight not to be missed. |
