Beautiful beaches, quite and cozy ambiance and small and organized towns and cities are some of the traits that one easily associate with Uruguay, one of the countries in South America. Known more for its soccer talents to most people of the world, a visit to this part of the world however remains incomplete without making it to this country called Uruguay. A Spanish speaking country Uruguay has a small population in excess of just three million and Montevideo, the capital city is the focus of country's polity and economy. It is for this reason that the flights that make their way to the country are mostly routed to and from Montevideo.

Domestic flights in Uruguay are however extremely limited and mostly international flights are operated here. The country has a whole 13 operating airports. Montevideo Carrasco International Airport is the most important airport and caters mostly to the international flights coming in and going out of the country. Artigas, Colonia, Paysandu, Vichadero, Treinta Y Tres, Bella Union, Melo, Salto, Durazno, Punta Del Este, Rivera and Tacuarembo are the other functioning airports in Urugyay.
